Chuck Nivens began Nivens Design in 2002 in an effort to meet the graphic design needs of local clients. Four years later, his daughter, Haley, joined him, and as a father and daughter, they bring two generations worth of life experiences and perspectives - both shared and unique to their work.

Haley earned a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Eastern Illinois University. She worked as an art director for UpShot Marketing in downtown Chicago on national campaigns for Disney Vacation Club, Miller Brewing Company, and Proctor and Gamble, and joined Nivens Design as a full partner in 2006. Her work has received numerous American Graphic Design Awards presented by the national magazine Graphic Design USA and sponsored by Adobe Systems Incorporated.

Chuck holds a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture, and Art and a Master's in Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Indiana University. Throughout his career as a designer, Chuck has received regional, national, and international awards including the New York Type Director's Club, the Society of Typographic Arts, Penn State Film Festival, the Grenoble, France Film Festival, and publication in the Print Magazine Regional Design Awards.
