Lemelson Illinois Student Prize
The Lemelson Prize is a competition for a substantial cash award to an engineering student submitting the superlative idea or concept. The glowing orb is a visual convention for the idea. That orb, when emerging from the three dimensional iniital L for Lemelson, creates the I for Illinois.
This company specializes in pairing medical and administrative personnel with hospitals and medical organizations. The wordmark is made special by custom modification of the horizontal stroke of the letterform A, and the superscript treatment of MED.
International Agricultural Programs
The circle symbolizes the world and the wheat or grain sheath symbolizes agriculture.
The symbol illustrates that inside of the hook nosed, double chinned profile is the potential of a more pleasing form.
The Newman Center is the catholic organization for the students and campus community. The symbol uses the initial for Newman confronted with the dove as a symbol of the Holy Spirit.
TEDI is comprised of many organizations within the city of Tuscola, IL. Collectively they are charged with the growth of development for the city. The use of multiple T's in the logo suggests the former, and the three dimensional quality, along with the color of blueprints, supports communication of the latter.
This is a small design firm specializing in print. The logo concept is the three dimensional M suggesting folded paper, the printing process, and the finished brochure.
